2010年、日本独自の空気を感じる各地の漁港の撮影を始めました。

古来、日本の漁師さん方は海の神様に安全と豊漁を祈り、時には死と隣り合わせの厳しい海で漁業を営んでこられています。

尊敬の念と共に彼らの撮影を続けてきました。

『わだつみ』は海の神様のお一人です。

私は『わだつみ』に導かれるように、優しく逞しい海の人々に出会って色々学び、夜明けや夕暮れの光景に心打たれてきました。
その貴重な時間をオリジナルカラーの写真で表現しています。
 
ここに各地の漁港の大変な自然災害からの復興と未来をお祈りいたします。

En 2010, j’ai commencé à parcourir le Japon pour photographier les ports de pêche. Ces lieux offrent une atmosphère propre au Japon.
Depuis des temps immémoriaux, les pêcheurs japonais exercent leur activité, parfois en côtoyant la mort, en priant les dieux de la mer de leur offrir à la fois leur protection et une pêche abondante. C’est avec un profond respect que je les ai photographiés.
«Wadatsumi» est un des dieux japonais de la mer.
Comme si«Wadatsumi» me guidait, je ne cesse de rencontrer des personnes vivant de la mer, des personnes d’une grande gentillesse et d’une grande force morale, qui m’ont beaucoup appris.
J’ai également pu contempler des paysages à l’aube et au crépuscule qui m’ont émue.
Ce sont ces précieux moments que je souhaite transmettre au travers de mes photos avec une palette de couleurs unique.

Je prie pour l’avenir et pour le rétablissement de ces ports de pêche après les dernières catastrophes naturelles.

In 2010, I began photographing fishing ports around Japan, where I could sense of the unique japanese atmosphere.
Since ancient times, japanese fishermen have prayed to the gods of the sea for safety and bountiful catches, and have engaged in fishing in the harsh seas where they sometimes face death.
I have continued to photograph them with a sense of respect.
“ Wadatsumi ” is one of the Japanese gods of the sea. 
As if guided by “ Wadatsumi ” I have met and learned a lot from the gentle and robust people of the sea, and have been moved by the scenes at dawn and dusk.
These precious moments are depicted in my unique colour palate photographs.

I pray for recovery from the terrible natural disasters that have occurred in various areas and for the future of fishing ports.
